UCSB Backups

Server Backups

History
^^^^^^^

Prior to 2015-09-29, partial backups of mn-ucsb-2, mn-ucsb-3, mn-ucsb-4, and full backups of mn-stage-ucsb-3 were made to the NCEAS tape backup server Eris.

After 2015-09-29, backups are being made using backup-ucsb-*.dataone.org, virtual servers hosted on DataONE hardware.

Starting in 2017-11-01, backups started moving to the NCEAS tape backup server Aion.

In 2018-03, cn-ucsb-1, mn-ucsb-1, mn-ucsb-2, mn-ucsb-4, mn-stage-ucsb-3.test.dataone.org and wpweb-ucsb-1.dataone.org were moved from backup-ucsb-* hosts to Aion.
